Just yesterday we heard rumours that the LG G Watch R might launch as soon as October 14, albeit only in South Korea and now we know that the rumours are true.
LG has confirmed the date on its South Korean blog, though sadly the date still only applies to South Korea, but with it out so soon there the wait to see it in the rest of the world may not be too long.
As well as giving a release date LG confirmed that it would be priced at 352,000 won in its home country, which equates to roughly £205 / $330 / AU$375. Obviously the prices may vary due to local taxes and the like, but based on that it seems like the LG G Watch R might be a bit pricier than the Moto 360 (£199 / $249 / around AU$340).
Going full circle
That's not entirely surprising though, as the G Watch R should be a little more powerful than its circular rival, with a 1.2GHz Snapdragon 400 processor. Plus its 1.3-inch display is a full circle, rather than having a cut-out at the bottom. Though on the flip side it's smaller than Motorola's take and has a larger bezel.
We'll let you know once we have a release date for other parts of the world, but it looks like Motorola could soon have some serious competition for wrist space.
